The Character Clown
As the name implies, this clown immediately brings to mind a specific character (i. e. cop, cowboy, fireman, or a child like my good friend, the very talented Tootsie, pictured left). The face may be whiteface or auguste, and the costume is designed to fit the character being portrayed.
